THE INVISIBLE EXTINCTION

The Invisible Extinction spotlights the extraordinary work and charismatic personalities of renowned scientists Martin Blaser, and his partner in the lab and in life, Maria Gloria Dominguez-Bello, as they endeavor to save our vanishing microbes that are essential for our survival.

THE CAT RESCUERS

At the heart of THE CAT RESCUERS is a question many of us have faced – what to do if you come across a starving or injured animal? For Sassee, Claire, Tara and Stu, all busy full-time professionals who live in Brooklyn, the answer was clear: they must help.

At first none of them knew how to rescue a cat, but they soon learned the tricks of the trade and, to their shock, discovered the problem was bigger than they had imagined: at least 500,000 abandoned and feral cats on NYC’s streets and the city doing little to address the problem.

SARABAH

Sarabah is a documentary about Senegalese rapper Sister Fa, a childhood victim of female genital cutting, and her grassroots campaign to end the practice in her homeland. Initially planned as a short for a series Steven Lawrence was producing for Link TV about groundbreaking artists in the Muslim world, Steven and his team (Maria Luisa Gambale and Michal Shapiro) decided to make it feature-length when they learned Sister Fa was going back to her home village to convince the elders to abandon FGC. To supplement initial funding from the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art, Steven brought in a grant from Wallace Global Fund and support from private donors.
